Dr. John T. McElveen Jr., a graduate of Davidson College, received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His residency training in Ear Nose & Throat Surgery was performed at Stanford University Medical Center. His subspecialty otology/neurotology training was done at the renowned House Ear Clinic/Institute. Following his fellowship, he practiced otology as an associate of the prestigious House Ear Clinic. In 1987, Dr. John T. McElveen Jr. left the House Group to head the Otology/Neurotology program at Duke University Medical Center for six years before founding the Carolina Ear & Hearing Clinic in 1993.
